Most of our clients have 50 to 500 people and a specific problem they can't solve with existing software. We stay with the systems we build, so domain knowledge compounds over time instead of walking out the door when a contract ends.

With a conversation. We'll ask about the problem, your team, and what success looks like. If there's a fit, we'll propose a short discovery phase to validate the approach before committing to a full build.

Selectively. If you're pre-revenue and need an MVP, we're probably not the right fit. If you've found product-market fit and need serious infrastructure to scale, we should talk.

It depends on which engagement model fits. Build Together retainers usually start around $8K to $15K per month. Build and Evolve projects typically range from $25K to $150K for the build, plus a monthly platform fee. Fixed-delivery engagements usually sit between $30K and $120K. Every project is different, so we'll scope and quote clearly before any commitment. For context, hiring an equivalent internal AI engineer in Australia runs $258K to $382K in Year 1 when you factor in super, recruitment, onboarding and ramp-up time. Most of our engagements deliver working systems months before an internal hire would produce their first output.

Discovery is invoiced on commencement as a deposit. Build phases use milestone payments, typically a 30/40/30 split across phases, so you’re only paying for completed work. Monthly platform fees are invoiced from go-live. We accept card payments and Australian bank transfer. All amounts are quoted ex GST.

We understand the frameworks that Australian enterprise clients require, whether that's ISO 27001, SOC 2, the ASD Essential Eight, APRA CPS 234, or the Cyber Security Act 2024. If your project requires formal compliance, certification, or security testing, we scope that into the quote so you know the cost and timeline upfront. In many cases we can reduce the overhead significantly by deploying inside your own cloud environment, working with synthetic data during the build, or using data privacy vaults so your sensitive fields never touch our systems directly.
